1. Controller

The company named above is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any question about data protection, write to us at that address.

2. Principle

We process personal data only so far as it is needed to run this website and to answer your enquiry. We do not sell data, we use no advertising networks and we run no audience measurement.

3. Visiting the website and server logs

When you open this website your browser transmits technically necessary data to our hosting provider: the address requested, the date and time, the volume of data transferred, the referrer, browser type and operating system, and a shortened IP address.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the stable and secure operation of the site. These logs are deleted after seven days.

4. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Any transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses together with supplementary safeguards.

5. Enquiries by form, e-mail and telephone

When you send us an enquiry we process your names, your e-mail address, your telephone number if you give one, the date you want, the house you want, the approximate number of guests and your message. We need these details to answer you and to prepare an offer.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract). Where you additionally give us consent, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, and you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

If no contract results, we delete your enquiry twelve months after the last contact. If a contract results, we keep the contract documents for the retention periods of six and ten years required by German commercial and tax law.

6. Availability display and date options

The availability shown on this website comes from our own booking system. Displaying it involves no personal data. Only when you ask us to hold a date do we store your contact details against that date.

7. Cookies and local storage

We set no cookies for advertising or analytics. We place two entries in your browser’s local storage: the house you selected, so the site keeps your choice, and your decision about external content. Neither entry leaves your browser and neither is read by us.

The legal basis for strictly necessary entries is § 25 (2) TDDG. You can delete the entries at any time in your browser settings.

8. External maps

On the house pages we can embed a map from the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. That map is loaded only after you have explicitly agreed. Only then is your IP address transmitted to the provider.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Without your agreement you see only a map we drew ourselves, which transmits nothing to any third party. You can withdraw your agreement at any time through the cookie settings in the footer.

9. Recipients of your data

Within our company only the people handling your enquiry have access. External suppliers receive your data only where that is necessary to run your event, for instance catering or a shuttle, and we agree that with you beforehand. Your data is never passed on for advertising purposes.

11. Data security

This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS). Access to our booking system is limited to named employees and is logged.

12. Changes

We update this notice when our processing changes. The version published on this page applies.
